Devi Talab Mandir
he famous Devi Talab Temple is situated in the heart of Jalandhar city, just 1 km from the railway station. It is believed to be more than 200 years old. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is one of the 51 Shakthi pithas in India. The image of Lord Shiva that is enshrined herein is called Bhisan Bhairav. Devi Talab Temple has been renovated recently and a number of changes have been made to the old structure. Also, a new temple has been constructed within the temple premises. Even a model of Amarnath Yatra was constructed sometime back only. <br/> Beside the main Devi Talab Mandir, is an old Temple of Goddess Kali. One of the prime attractions of the temple is an old tank, which is considered to be sacred by the Hindu devotees.The temple has a structure resembling the Amarnath Cave temple in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shiv Mandir
he Shiv Mandir is located at Gur Mandi in the city of Jalandhar which is a well known and venerated temple of the Hindus. The Temple was founded by the Nawab of Sultanpur Lodhi who built the temple near Masjid Imam Nasar. The Temple exhibits a blend of Muslim Hindu architecture. The main gate of the temple is built in the style of a mosque while the rest of the building exhibits the Hindu style. <br/> The temple is located in the heart of a busy market of the "Gur- Mandi" , the main deity of the the temple is Lord Shiva which bears relics of the brilliant architectural ability of the ancient times. The temple is constructed by a Muslim "Nawab" of the "Lodhi dynasty"; adjacent to the mosque of Imam Nasar, the age old temple is a living witness of religious tolerance which has triggered down across the centuries to the modern period. The famous temple of Lord Shiva showcases the engineering skills of the people of the bygone days. The temple presents a perfect blend of the Hindu and Muslim architecture. While the entrance to the sacred temple was modeled after the gate of a mosque, the other buildings of the temple bears a rich style of the Hindu architecture.
Gurdwara Chhevin Padshahi
urdwara Chhevin Patshahi is located in village Basti Sheikh in district Jalandhar. Guru Hargobind visited the city of Jalandhar during his tour of the Doaba area. Gurdwara Chhevin Padshahi in Basti Shaikh, Jalandhar city, stands on the spot where Guruji granted an audience to a Muslim holy saint popularly known as Sheikh Darvesh. <br/> Fearing Punishment The great Guru had an in depth discussion with the Sheikh Darvesh about spiritual matters which created a good impact on the holy man. <br/> Fearful of Mughal reprisal (most likely he was well aware of Guru Arjan's arrest and torture, accused of meeting with Jahangir's son) the saint blindfolded his eyes so that he could swear before the Mughal authorities that he had not 'seen' the Guru
Bhagat Singh museum and memorial
The Shaheed-e-azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Museum is situated in the village of Khatkar Kalan, just outside Banga town in Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar district in the Indian state of Punjab and opened on his 50th death anniversary. It contains memorabilia, including his half-burnt ashes, the blood-soaked sand and blood-stained newspaper in which the ashes were wrapped. A page of the first Lahore Conspiracy Case’s judgement through which Kartar Singh Sarabha was sentenced to death and on which Singh put some notes is also exhibited in the museum. A copy of the Bhagavad Gita with Singh's signature, which was given to him in Lahore Jail, and other personal belongings, are also displayed there.
